I am trained as an advanced level psychotherapist (crisis- and trauma-oriented special level and advanced level family psychotherapy training) and hold a Master of Theology (with extended specialization in hospital chaplaincy and specialization training as a church family counselor). I am also a training psychotherapist (qualified to teach and supervise in psychotherapy training programs) and a supervisor (including qualification as a church supervisor).
My work has focused on acute crises and long-term psychotherapeutic client relationships with individuals, couples, and families. I also have extensive experience working with elderly people. I have worked as a supervisor for employees in the Evangelical Lutheran Church and in social and healthcare services, and have served as a lecturer and trainer in areas such as workplace development and crisis management, encountering spiritual beliefs, facing illness, pain, and death, working with traumatized clients, and ethical issues in healthcare, through various training programs, lecture series, and projects.
I have also led divorce and grief groups and delivered lecture series related to relationship issues.
When seeking psychotherapy, it is helpful to familiarize yourself with different psychotherapy orientations and consider which approach suits you best. Research shows that the most important factor for the effectiveness of psychotherapy is the relationship between the client and the psychotherapist, rather than the specific therapeutic orientation represented by the therapist.
I have completed the crisis- and trauma-oriented advanced level family psychotherapy training organized by the Finnish Association for Mental Health. I am therefore a psychotherapist approved by Valvira (formerly TEO).

The goal of couples therapy is to increase reciprocal interaction within the relationship and to resolve events and phenomena that place strain on the relationship.
Family psychotherapy is an effort to understand and treat internal interaction within families by examining the dynamics between family members.
We offer supervision and training services for both private individuals as well as companies and communities.
Psychological coaching is part of an athlete’s overall training, with the aim of supporting the athlete’s optimal development.
Every client encounter, as well as each training and supervision session, is carefully and responsibly planned and carried out in a client-oriented and tailored manner. This is a shared process in which the psychotherapist’s professional competence is available to the client. The client is the primary expert in their own matter, which is explored within a safe interactional relationship created by the psychotherapist. The goal is an improvement in quality of life, which brings motivation and meaning to the process. Responsibility and commitment are also expected from the client, as change requires at least a potential belief in and interest toward psychotherapeutic work.
